Almost 1/3 of the country has been experiencing some degree of drought. Whether you are a farmer who depends on rain for your livlihood, a gardener who is watching their vegetables wither and drop, or a homeowner who is concerned about their plants, the results are the same. Our plants are stressed. While there is no cure other than rain for drought stressed vegetation there are some things you can do beginning this fall to mitigate some of the results of drought. Dennis Stephens, president of Monty’s join us Inside Monty’s Garden to talk about the impacts of drought and the new tool you can place in your horticultural toolbox to deal with drought in future years. Humics hold promise and we’ll discuss it this week.
